Second Caribbean Food & Wine Festival In Turks And Caicos To Host Culinary Demonstrations By John De

The second annual Caribbean Food & Wine Festival will be taking place from 1st to 3rd November this year in Turks and Caicos and this years event will be attended by John DeLucie, a renowned chef and owner of New Yorks The Lion restaurant.

Tourists taking Caribbean holidays will be able to taste a variety of flavours of authentic Caribbean cuisine and attend cooking demonstrations during the three-day event which will be taking place at various properties across the island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos.

The festival is being organised by Grace Bay Resorts, the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board, and the Wine Cellar, and it will bring together the culinary talents of several famous chefs.

I am truly delighted to be a part of the Second Annual Caribbean Food & Wine Festival in Turks & Caicos this fall, DeLucie commented.

The culture, cuisine and stunning atmosphere of the islands are an inspiring combination.

Festival-goers can attend a welcome reception and a five-course meal prepared by DeLucie and the executive chef of Aman Resort, Fritz Zwahlen on Thursday 1st November. DeLucie will also lead a cooking demonstration and conduct a book signing session in the evening.

The Food & Wine Tasting will take place at The Veranda Resort & Residences on Saturday 3rd November and will provide samples of gourmet chocolates, cheeses, seafood, wines, meats and local delicacies. After the Food & Wine Tasting, guests can attend the Street Food Fair where 15 chefs from leading Turks and Caicos hotels, resorts and restaurants will be showcasing their expert grilling and barbeque techniques.

If spending holidays in Turks and Caicos during the culinary event, festival-goers will have the chance to meet the award-winning chef from Elements restaurant at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, Beau MacMillan, who has created meals for President Bush and many more high profile celebrities.

4. Pudding. If you don`t relish the thought of having lukewarm pudding in your Tupperware at noon, then try putting the cold pudding into your thermos in the morning. It will stay nice and cool until you`re ready to treat yourself.

5. Chili. Not technically a soup, this dish tends to taste best when hot, so put it in your thermos and pack a few slices of cornbread to enjoy with it. Your chili will still be piping hot when you`re ready to sit down to lunch at the office.

You can make it easier on yourself by purchasing a wide mouth thermos that will let you easily put food in and dump it back out.
